British tennis star Emma Raducanu concludes the current season and has decided to continue with coach into the 2026 season.

Raducanu reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events during the season.

Britain's Emma Raducanu will not compete in the last two tournaments in 2025 because of a health issue she has been fighting for the last week and a half.

Raducanu, aged 22 was scheduled to compete in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to rest and recuperate ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training are set to feature coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together for the upcoming season.

The tennis professional had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match against Ann Li in Wuhan and withdrew when losing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

She was also playing far from freely in the final set in the match with Zhu due to the lower back problem that has troubled her on several occasions in 2025.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 for the first time for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

She secured 28 matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her standout performance was at the Miami event in March.

As Britain's top player reached the quarter-finals of a premier WTA event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to the world number four Pegula.

Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.

The initial agreement with the former trainer of Nadal was until the end of the season but they will keep working together, with planned training sessions late this year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

The player was close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three then falling to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
