Ex- Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
List of Charges
The charging documents said the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
