Liverpool's Star Issues Apology to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the team after the controversy from his recent interview.

The Incident

The striker was dropped from a vital match after making accusations and suggesting his relationship with manager had broken down.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”

The manager has refused to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

Team Unity

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” Jones added.

He also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “I understand there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

On-Field Response

Their results have been impressive in the period after the initial controversy. He feels the forward's comments were never meant to cause disruption.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, getting results and on a positive run.”
