Your Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers developing strong views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a strong ally; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Super Form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of gossip to those who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to imagine Super Medicham captivating an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for often getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Archer myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
